Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineering Advisor to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in assisting with the design, development, evaluation, and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Analysis and Management: Assist in generating quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and design, as well as acquisition logistics.
  • Verification and Validation: Ensure requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Standardization and Coordination: Establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to overall product development.
  • System Integration and Performance Assessment: Define interfaces, bring system elements together, and assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Vendor Acquisition and Contract Management: Develop statements of work (SOWs) for vendor acquisitions and participate in design/major milestone reviews of components.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet contractual requirements, and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.
  • Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management: Support strategic planning, including roadmap and portfolio development and management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Integrate activities among multiple internal groups, enterprise services, and mission teams, and assist customers with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking actions.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and define Knowledge Management processes to maintain data within collaboration tools, ensuring legacy data is updated, new information is properly input, data is organized, and data is accurate.
Qualifications
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI W POLY
  • Education: Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Experience: BS in Systems Engineering or similar degree/experience; years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Skills: Demonstrated systems engineering skills focused on requirements analysis and management, and risk management; demonstrated experience working across multiple technology areas; experience supporting customer governance processes, including board presentation and documentation preparation; experience defining and participating in system integration testing
  • Desired Skills: Customer domain experience; expertise in MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint, Confluence
