Job Summary:

The Training and Curriculum Specialist is a professional staff member in the Trauma Informed Oregon (TIO) program at Portland State University, responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that integrate trauma-informed practices across sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs that promote trauma-informed practices
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-sector teams to integrate trauma-informed practices into program development
  • Provide technical assistance and support to program staff on trauma-informed practices
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in trauma-informed care

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as education, social work, or public health
  • Experience in training and curriculum development, program implementation, and evaluation
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices and their application in various sectors
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
