TAX STRATEGY PROJECT LEADER - VICE PRESIDENT

Are you eager to join a dynamic organization and collaborate with a global team to shape strategy in an ever-evolving landscape? We are seeking a Vice President with extensive tax expertise to become a key player in the Tax Change Management team within the Tax Department.


OUR ROLE

The Tax Department is dedicated to analyzing and supporting the operations, reporting obligations, and transactions of the firm's various business lines, ensuring that tax implications and reputational risks are thoroughly assessed.

Our contributions are vital to the firm's overall success, making this division perfect for innovative and cooperative individuals who possess strong ethical standards and meticulous attention to detail.

The team is charged with upholding the integrity of the firm's compliance with global reporting authorities and managing inquiries from diverse business sectors across both established and emerging markets.

Daily responsibilities include precise and timely account documentation, monitoring, client information reporting, and regulatory submissions. Additionally, the team provides essential subject matter expertise and aligned support during the design, testing, and implementation of related systems and processes.

We leverage opportunities to enhance procedures and foster scalability through data analytics and effective technology utilization.


HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

This high-visibility role will involve collaboration with senior management and teams across regions to spearhead initiatives and resolve issues.

Develop in-depth subject matter expertise in relevant tax systems, procedures, and requirements.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of multiple business lines within the firm, offering broad exposure to various divisions and groups.

Utilize your analytical mindset to identify control weaknesses, mitigate risks, enhance client experiences, and advance process automation.

Act as a risk manager through continuous assessment and awareness of the tax regulatory landscape and the firm's compliance with applicable tax reporting obligations.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and over 6 years of relevant experience in Operations, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, leading teams, functions, and projects.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to achieve results, solve problems, and take responsibility for deadlines and outcomes.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with proven skills in influencing others, building consensus, and managing relationships with senior/executive-level stakeholders.

A successful track record of defining project scopes, driving project delivery, and achieving results independently within time and budget constraints.

Strong analytical and project management skills, including:

  • Project scope definition
  • Identification of project issues, challenges, and risks
  • Status reporting
  • Development of high-quality deliverables

Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and making informed decisions as necessary.

Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines and providing practical solutions.

Experience working in project teams to assess the implications of specific solutions across processes, including costs, risks, and potential for re-use of developed services.

Proven ability to collaborate across products, regions, and functions, preferably within the financial services sector.

Exemplary people management skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders beyond direct control.

Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and a strong consensus builder.

Ability to remain composed under pressure, prioritize effectively, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment with a risk-aware mindset.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of Operations processes and procedures, with a quick learning ability—knowledge of processes related to Operations or the Financial Services industry is advantageous.

Previous experience in creating JIRA boards, conducting steering committee calls, and leading scrum meetings.

Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and BPM through Signavio.

SALARY RANGE

The expected base salary for this position is competitive, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus for active employees at fiscal year-end.
