GENERAL FUNCTION


The Tax Strategy Manager - Transfer Pricing will concentrate on a well-rounded mix of disciplines including global tax strategy, transfer pricing, tax technology/automation, and compliance/audit assistance.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Tax Strategy and Transfer Pricing - North America (NA) focus


Evaluate and document the restructuring of NA transfer pricing policies and intercompany transaction flows, including the preparation and updating of transaction flow models based on documentation reviews and discussions with financial and operational management.

Compile annual transfer pricing documentation using centralized templates, gathering information from both internal and external sources.
Oversee complex analyses for Advanced Pricing Agreements (APA) between U.S. and foreign tax authorities, including the preparation of submissions and detailed annual transfer pricing calculations.

Analyze data from internal financial reporting systems to determine profit level indicators for transfer pricing reporting for NA entities, ensuring compliance with corporate policy and reconciliation to financial statements.

Lead the year-end review of transfer pricing by external auditors.
Assist with global initiatives related to the OECD's BEPS initiatives (Pillar 2 / GLOBE, etc.)
Support the coordination and review of benchmarking studies and updates of comparable data for annual transfer pricing documentation.
Consider and document proposed intercompany transactions to mitigate global tax and transfer pricing risks.

Technology

Identify automation opportunities and oversee the development of solutions to enhance efficiencies.

Ability to analyze financial data from internal ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reconcile information from databases to financial statements.

Extract data from various financial reporting systems to summarize tax positions and workpapers for tax returns.

Audits

Gather, coordinate, and analyze information for the defense of U.S. income tax (including transfer pricing) audits.
Prepare correspondence for federal tax authorities in response to inquiries.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as LUXOTTICA Tax Leadership and government tax auditors.

Other

Assist with documentation related to U.S. international reporting (Form 5472).
Provide analytical support for the preparation of the Company's income tax provision.
Research various tax issues across multiple jurisdictions and disciplines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or economics; Five years of experience in public accounting or private industry with a focus on transfer pricing.
Exposure to multiple geographical jurisdictions with an understanding of transfer pricing risk assessment and audit resolution preferred.

Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to extract and interpret data from various internal systems - proficient in MS Tools, especially Excel.

Comfortable with Pivot Tables.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Outstanding communication skills - both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently while being resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Self-motivated, business-savvy, with integrity, and a team player.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree preferred.
Eight years of experience in public accounting or private industry with a focus on transfer pricing.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion.
Knowledge of Alteryx

Pay Range: 109,755.20

Employee compensation is determined by various factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.

Additionally, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered, complementing a comprehensive total rewards package.
