Inventory Manager

Amentum is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Material Expediter - Warehouse Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of materials within our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and repair wooden shipping crates using a variety of electric and pneumatic powered hand tools.
- Wrap and pack crates to prepare for shipping or storage.
- Operate a range of material handling equipment, including forklifts and mechanized warehouse equipment, to manage high-pile storage.
- Ensure the accuracy of input data to our inventory system.
- Unload, unpack, inspect, count, and store incoming supplies and equipment.
- Review and verify quantities received against bills of lading, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
As a Material Expediter - Warehouse Specialist, you will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly stored, handled, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related warehouse or inventory experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment in adverse temperatures.
- Active Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required to maintain clearance).
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDL License for 26ft Box Truck.
- Forklift operator experience.
- Additional experience or education in inventory control principles and warehouse processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently.
