Rutland Regional Medical Center: Critical Care Paramedic Expert

Job Overview:
As a Critical Care Paramedic at Rutland Regional Medical Center, you will work in close collaboration with emergency physicians and nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care. Your expertise in acute care will be essential in delivering timely and effective treatment to patients.
Compensation Package:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $48,000 - $73,500, based on industry standards and the cost of living in the area. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for competitive differential rates, including evening, night, and weekend pay. Evening shifts carry an additional $4.25 per hour, while night shifts add $8.00 per hour, and weekend shifts are compensated at $4.75 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments, treatments, and medication administration to patients in the emergency department, utilizing skills based on the National Scope of Practice for Paramedics.
- Work collaboratively with emergency physicians and nursing staff to deliver efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Utilize immobilization and stabilization procedures as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in providing critical care, knowledge, and skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of accredited paramedic education program.
- 3 years of experience as a pre-hospital care provider, with Critical Care Paramedic experience preferred.
- Basic airway skills, immobilization skills, IV therapy skills, oxygen and ventilation administration skills, bleeding control and shock management skills, and ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology and basic computer skills.
