At Rutland Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional respiratory care to patients in various states of health and wellness.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide direct patient care, education, and preparation for ongoing care after discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory needs and develop personalized care plans
  • Implement and monitor the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT)
  • RRT certification preferred or plan to acquire
  • Current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in respiratory therapy
  • Knowledge of respiratory equipment and mechanical ventilation management
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to patient care situations

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $27.05 - $39.98 per hour, with differential rates for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Location

This role is located at Rutland Regional Medical Center, with opportunities to work on-call and cover shifts as needed. A willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances is essential.
