Position Summary:

The Asset Process Resource plays a pivotal role in supporting and integrating all IT Service Management (ITSM) Asset Management processes within the BIA/BIE organization. Leveraging experience with BMC Client Management, this position emphasizes assistance in the Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and the maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions for asset management design, specifically focusing on Asset Management.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Technical Development Resource to document workflow requirements.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of processes and workflows to enhance usability across the IT organization and its toolsets.
  • Engage in all Asset Management meetings to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Regularly assess existing IT processes for effectiveness and efficiency, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Facilitate integration across all related processes within the ITSM toolset.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by defining workflows, value streams, and process metrics.
  • Participate in testing activities for asset management tools to confirm alignment of workflows and processes.
  • Develop necessary process documentation as required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and trends related to processes and ITSM supporting toolsets.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in IT Management or a related field, or equivalent training and experience totaling 7-10 years in Asset Management Processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective consultation with management, business partners, and vendors.
  • A collaborative mindset with experience in global teams and organizations.
  • ITIL Certification, or at least two intermediate certifications.
  • A robust working knowledge of BMC Helix.
  • Additional BMC-related training and certifications are advantageous.
Additional Information:

This role requires the ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust clearance. The position is fully remote.

  • Capacity to learn new tasks, maintain focus, and make timely decisions independently.
  • Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when collaborating with others.
