Role Summary:

We are in search of an Emergency Medical Technician to join our facility, ensuring that we maintain high standards of quality and efficient care for all patients. Our team is exceptional, and we are looking for a remarkable individual who shares our dedication to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supportive care to patients in the Emergency Department under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Perform approved medical procedures as required.
  • Monitor, document, and report vital signs, immediately alerting the registered nurse to any abnormalities.
  • Record height and weight measurements accurately.
  • Apply ECG electrodes and connect ECG monitors correctly, performing EKGs as needed.
  • Assist in setting up oxygen according to instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or EMS setting preferred, with EKG and phlebotomy experience being advantageous.
  • Other relevant training and experience will be considered.
  • Paramedic certification is mandatory.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • High School Graduate or GED is required.
