Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing direct patient care and transportation services
  • Operate emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to departmental and state driving rules
  • Collaborate with dispatchers, EMS crews, and other emergency responders to ensure effective communication and response
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, victims, and the general public
  • Complete accurate and detailed patient care reports, billing information, and other associated documentation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified as an EMT in the State of Texas
  • CPR certification
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training
  • Valid Texas driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 125 lbs. independently
  • Customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in emergency care
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Coping well under hazardous and high-stress situations
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Compassion and professional boundaries
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
Work Schedule

This position can work a variety of schedules, including 8-hour shifts, 12-hours shifts, 24-hour shifts, and 48-hour shifts. We can accommodate a set school schedule, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
