Position Overview: Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic

As an essential member of the healthcare team, the Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic is responsible for delivering high-quality emergency medical services. This role encompasses a variety of specialized functions, including but not limited to:

  • Electroencephalographic Technologist (EEG)
  • Evoked Potentials Technologist (EP)
  • Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring Technologist (CNIM)
  • Long Term Monitoring Technologists (CLTM)
  • Autonomic Testing Professionals (CAP)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree: Certificate in a relevant field.
  • Education: Completion of certification in the specified specialty area.
  • Certification: Must be certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) in the designated specialty.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in the specified specialty area.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine diagnostic assessments and services.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures in line with organizational policies.
  • Assess if special patient preparation is necessary.
  • Adjust recording strategies and instrument parameters based on evaluation of recorded data to guarantee a thorough and technically sound study.
  • Process studies and submit findings to the requesting physician.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures and records in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks as directed, following manufacturer and organizational guidelines.
  • Recognize and implement emergency measures for patients requiring resuscitation due to cardiac or respiratory failure.
