Our division, International SOS Government Medical Services (GMS), based in Houston, Texas, provides healthcare support to government agencies and contractors, assisting in military operations, disaster response, and refugee care.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-hospital emergency medical assistance for various trauma cases.
  • Support the Paramedic in assessing the severity of injuries and determining priorities for emergency care.
  • Assist in providing emergency medical treatment to all patients.
  • Drive emergency vehicles responsibly, ensuring the safety of all individuals.
  • Restock EMS units upon receipt of supplies and assist in maintaining inventory for other clinics.
  • Ensure that all equipment, tools, and protective gear are maintained in a ready-response condition.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Capability to evaluate adult and pediatric patients in a pre-hospital environment.
  • Proficiency in executing BLS interventions as per established protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in IT, including the use of electronic medical records systems.

Experience Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience as an EMT in a high-demand 911 system.
  • Experience in remote settings is advantageous.
  • Prior military or firefighting experience is preferred.
Certifications
  • Valid EMT Level Certification from the National Registry (NREMT) is mandatory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • A valid passport is necessary and must be maintained throughout employment.
Language Proficiency
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Compensation: Minimum $59,000, Maximum $75,000.

Pay range is determined by various factors, including experience, skills, and market data.
