Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Growth Specialist to join our team at Walker Elliott. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new customer engagement and maintaining superior service levels for existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Manage the conversion of leads provided by marketing into completed sales, and develop new leads through existing customer networks and other networking opportunities.
  • Sales and Business Development: Participate in regular sales meetings to review active leads, represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and industry events, and actively pursue leads from accounts without an assigned salesperson.
  • Product Knowledge: Continuously expand your technical and product knowledge base to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments.
  • Reporting and Accountability: This position reports to the VP of Sales and Senior Management and is accountable for achieving or exceeding sales objectives.

Requirements:

  • Industry Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of SCADA Systems and IIoT.
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate strategic deals and solve complex problems.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in sales or business development within industrial automation, SCADA communication, system integration, or related industries.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, and a proven work ethic and collaborative mindset.
  • Travel Requirements: Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 70%, including potential international travel.
