Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to drive new sales revenue in the digital marketing field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Converting qualified prospects into new clients
  • Prospecting and qualifying new leads as needed
  • Managing a database of prospective targets, including consultants, prospects, and current clients
  • Conducting needs analysis meetings with prospects and producing presentations for new business pitches
  • Preparing new business proposals and reviewing them with prospects
  • Following up and working to close outstanding opportunities
  • Providing post-sale support to the Accounts and Production teams
  • Reviewing success status with Account Managers and Clients
  • Staying up-to-date on current agency accounts for reference in new business presentations
  • Assisting agency leadership with research and information gathering
  • Researching and pursuing sales and networking opportunities
  • Attending networking and marketing events
  • Exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year, accredited college
  • Minimum Experience: 2+ years of account executive/sales experience (preferably with an agency)
  • Proven success in developing new business, writing client proposals, and managing complex sales cycles
  • Proven track record of penetrating and expanding large corporate accounts
  • Proven track record of exceeding quotas and goals
  • Experience in selling in a competitive environment
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Inspiring attitude

Ideal Qualifications

  • 4+ years of direct sales experience (preferably with an agency)
  • Advertising sales and/or professional services sales experience
  • Strong executive-level/decision-maker contacts in enterprise and mid-market companies
  • Experience with digital marketing services such as SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email Marketing & Web Design
  • Experience using website analytics software (Omniture, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, etc.)
