What You Will Do as an Automation Solutions Consultant

As an Automation Solutions Consultant at EandM, you will be recognized as the go-to expert in automation software. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of technical sales professionals to design and implement top-tier automation and data solutions. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Accompanying the sales team to conduct presentations, engage in technical discussions, and identify customer requirements. Direct interaction is essential for grasping the technical and business needs of our clients.
  • Managing multiple client meetings throughout the day is expected. A proactive approach to customer service is vital; our clients require immediate assistance.
  • Designing solutions utilizing EandM's premier automation software to address the unique needs of a diverse clientele.
  • Presenting at industry events, workshops, and hands-on training sessions. Clients will rely on your expertise to pinpoint their challenges and formulate effective technical solutions.
This role is highly technical and involves close collaboration with both clients and EandM. Recognizing the impact of our software on clients' operations is crucial. The focus is on delivering solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, and competitiveness in the marketplace.

Qualifications and Skills
What You Need to Succeed as an Automation Solutions Consultant at EandM:
  • Experience in software development or sales, ideally with a technical or engineering background.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems is advantageous, along with experience in controls or electrical systems involving power, motors, sensors, or robotics.
  • Knowledge of automation software, particularly in areas such as System Platform, Historian, MES, Reporting, and InTouch, is preferred.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols for devices like PLCs, RTUs, VFDs, and controllers.
  • Proficiency in software languages such as SQL or C# is beneficial, as is experience with industrial programming environments.
  • Awareness of security concepts, including Active Directory or LDAP.
  • Familiarity with virtualization environments and the ability to articulate virtualization scenarios.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including switches, routers, VLANs, and fiber optics.
  • Experience with devices like Raspberry Pi or Arduino is a plus.
