Responsibilities

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be expected to:

  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and procedures
  • Handle requests for information, mail, and messages in an efficient and courteous manner
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups and closed-out dates
  • Obtain necessary information when taking room reservations and follow rate quoting scenarios
  • Be familiar with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules, as well as hospitality terminology
  • Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including helping coworkers in other areas of the hotel and maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements

To be successful as a Front Desk Agent, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field (preferred)
  • A positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service
  • The ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to work with financial information
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • The ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
