Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is tasked with executing IT processes by utilizing technology to assist end users, achieving business objectives, and ensuring optimal performance of existing systems. We seek a seasoned professional capable of analyzing, troubleshooting, and developing solutions to enhance and sustain current systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2 support to colleagues as required.
  • Collaborate on IT initiatives as directed by management.
  • Possess working knowledge of emerging technologies and hardware.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
  • Document support requests and their resolutions within the ticketing system.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all hardware and application-related issues.
  • Install and configure equipment and applications for all users within the organization.
  • Work with IT teams to troubleshoot technical issues with hardware and software.
  • Take ownership of end-user issues and proactively seek resolutions.
  • Provide training to staff on hardware and software usage as necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and adhere to service management principles.
  • Assist management in creating training materials related to system troubleshooting and usage.
  • Coordinate technical upgrades and maintain systems.
  • Install hardware, including computers, monitors, and printers.
  • Maintain equipment and conduct periodic inventories as required.
  • Create and deploy images for desktops and laptops.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot mobile devices.
  • Maintain and develop documentation on procedures and policies.
  • Oversee hardware inventory and equipment orders as necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, A+ Certification, and 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Desirable: Microsoft and relevant technical certifications and education.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including troubleshooting Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in cloud and virtualization technologies, particularly Citrix and VMware.
  • PowerShell scripting experience is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with remote VPN technologies and two-factor authentication.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel may be required.
