We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Research Analyst to join our team at Simon Quick Advisors. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for supporting the broader team in investment research, monitoring, trading, and strategy implementation processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct market and manager diligence for potential investment or termination under the supervision of senior analysts
- Primary back-up to Head of Trading for daily trading activities
- Responsible for coverage of a list of active investments across asset types and investment strategies and serves as the firm's point of contact with those managers
- Participate in investment manager meetings and disseminate notes
- Prepare materials and participate in Investment Team, Committee, and Strategy meetings
- Draft memos and presentations, in addition to other forms of communication to support the firm's investment and education efforts and client advisor relationships
- Operational support for private funds, including capital flow management, investment subscription/redemptions, projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance or investing
- Strong interest in financial markets, economics, and the investment industry
- Strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills
- Process-driven and proactive with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Passion for investing - Strong sense of curiosity and inquiry in markets and investing
- Time management - Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and efficiently allocate time for maximum productivity
- Multitasking - Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining high performance and attention to detail
- Analytical skills - Ability to synthesize large sets of dynamic information and provide actionable insights with conviction and analytical rigor
- Communicate both in written & verbal form - Ability to effectively convey complex financial and technical information and ideas, clearly and persuasively through both written and spoken mediums
