Position: Client Services Coordinator

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is in search of a dedicated full-time (40-hour week) Client Services Coordinator for the Maternal Child & Health Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing program eligibility and ensuring smooth clinic operations by initiating client visits.
  • Managing appointment scheduling and adjustments.
  • Adhering to HIPAA regulations during all communications and interactions.
  • Following state guidelines and protocols as established by WIC and USDA.
  • Conducting and maintaining accurate data entry.
  • Supporting offsite initiatives, health fairs, or related community activities.
  • Being prepared to respond to public health emergencies, which may involve taking on roles outside of normal duties.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an office setting within a public service context.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with a diverse range of clients and staff.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette, customer service, data entry, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or French is preferred; CUPHD offers additional compensation for qualified bilingual employees.
