Position Overview:
The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and racial justice. The mission is to assist individuals in achieving their goals related to employment, education, and independent living. This role involves coordinating customer case records and documentation within a field office related to service delivery activities for clients in the Bureau of Customer and Community Field Services/Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Responsibilities include performing clerical tasks essential for maintaining sensitive case files and documentation, facilitating service purchases, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations. The position requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with counselors to prioritize daily customer service delivery.
- Regularly meet with counselors to review case management activities and address any issues.
- Assist clients, family members, and vendors in understanding program rules, policies, and eligibility criteria.
- Manage and prioritize incoming communications, including mail, emails, and phone calls.
- Engage with Vocational Rehabilitation Program staff to plan and discuss casework activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that fall within the scope of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of four (4) years of high school education.
- Two (2) years of clerical experience demonstrating proficiency in keyboarding functions.
Conditions of Employment:
- Ability to travel for training purposes.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
