Job Summary

The Champaign Urbana Public Health District is seeking a skilled Public Health Intake Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Maternal Child & Health Division, you will be responsible for coordinating the intake process for clients, ensuring seamless clinic flow, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Intake and Scheduling: Verify program eligibility, initiate client visits, and schedule appointments in a timely manner.
  • Communication and Data Entry: Comply with HIPAA guidelines, complete and update data entry, and maintain accurate records.
  • Program Support: Assist with offsite programs, health fairs, and related activities, and respond to public health emergencies as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with diverse staff and clientele, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of office experience in a public service environment.
  • Skills: Excellent phone etiquette, customer service, data entry, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Individuals with Medicaid billing experience and bilingual Spanish/French skills.

Compensation
