About the Role

Mendocino Forest Products Company is seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our sales team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure their success
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and purchasing, to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Perform divisional forecasting and participate in customer and employee reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, preferably in a multi-location manufacturing or distribution operation within the building materials industry
  • Proven success in building strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, with a valid state driver's license
