POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of Senior Project Manager (Land Development) encompasses the comprehensive oversight of all Commercial Land Development initiatives within the Denver office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project outcomes, ensuring the highest standards of quality control on deliverables, fostering relationships with prospective clients, and nurturing existing client partnerships through exceptional service and quality outputs. This position will provide leadership and direction to engineers and technicians within the project management team and will report directly to the Land Development Business Unit Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings with both internal team members and external design collaborators.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control measures on assigned projects.
  • Oversee all phases of the project life cycle, engaging with clients, design teams, internal personnel, and other essential resources.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, plans, and budgets.
  • Prepare project billing and invoices, ensuring timely follow-up with clients for payment collection.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Guide technical staff on project-related issues and general engineering principles, including Project Engineers, EITs, and Designers.
  • Actively contribute to the professional development of team members.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Engage in new project interviews.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives for the company.
  • Draft and negotiate scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposals.
  • Assess company practices and processes to provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct meetings to discuss lessons learned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience in Commercial Land Development, preferably within the Denver metropolitan area.

  • Deep understanding of civil engineering design, plan preparation, and agency approval processes within the greater Denver area and throughout Colorado.
  • Established business relationships with Colorado clients at local, county, and state levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering a positive team environment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering design processes specific to commercial land development.
