Job Description:

Overview:
The individual in this role will collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams catering to clients in mining, energy, infrastructure, and governmental sectors.

This position requires substantial expertise in civil engineering design and analysis, focusing on site layout, grading, drainage, and mass earthwork.

Responsibilities will encompass technical tasks such as utilizing CADD modeling software for design, preparing construction plans and specifications, developing spreadsheets, site development design, report composition, extensive report preparation, estimating construction costs, observing construction activities, and inspecting facilities.

Additionally, the role may involve direct interaction with clients, regulatory agencies, and public officials.
Administrative duties may include business development, project management, strategic planning, and scheduling.

This position also offers the chance to mentor junior engineers, enhancing their civil engineering knowledge and project management capabilities through the review of technical reports and guidance on operational tasks.

The role may necessitate travel for assignments outside the local area.

Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in civil design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or similar CADD-based civil design tools.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a year.
A flexible working style, self-initiative, and a collaborative approach to meet client needs and project timelines.
Attention to detail regarding the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of results.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
An acceptable driving record.

Desirable Qualifications:
Seven or more years of related experience.
Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position.

Important Note:

Some work environments may present challenging terrain typical of construction sites and may require access to facilities with limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions common in industrial settings.

Job responsibilities may involve work on waste disposal sites and locations requiring the cleanup of hazardous materials. An OSHA-mandated physical examination may be necessary. Safety training will be provided. Candidates may be required to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,000–$85,000. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this role may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus.
