Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Clearwaters is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing secure systems architectures, ensuring compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements, and guaranteeing that both development and operational systems are functional and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design secure and functional systems architectures.
  • Ensure integration and interconnectivity of platform IT systems.
  • Address program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes.
  • Evaluate business strategies and requirements to determine security needs.
  • Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  • Research and stay current with information security standards.
  • Study architecture and platform to identify integration issues.
  • Prepare cost estimates related to security implementation.
  • Specify methodologies and solutions for intrusion detection.
  • Direct the installation and calibration of security solutions and software.
  • Develop and implement preventive and reactive security measures.
  • Create, transmit, and maintain security keys.
  • Provide technical support and complete necessary documentation.
  • Develop and implement test scripts to verify security systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant DoD and federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and practices.
  • Assist in developing and updating cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of DoD Instruction and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT.
  • Utilize DoD cybersecurity tools such as Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III or IAM Level III (i.e., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in system architecture and cybersecurity.
  • Proficiently use security technologies and tools relevant to AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations and HIPAA standards.
  • Strong understanding of DoD IA requirements and cybersecurity policies.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies, especially within AWS cloud environments.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Fluent in English.
