Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Manager - Controls Architect to join our team at ManTech. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day implementation, oversight, and maintenance of security configurations, practices, and procedures for Information Systems (IS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Configuration and Implementation: Ensure the day-to-day implementation, oversight, and maintenance of security configurations, practices, and procedures for IS.
  • Security Controls Design and Implementation: Design and implement robust security controls and architectures within an IS.
  • Security Requirements Assessment and Control Framework Development: Assess security requirements, develop control frameworks, and oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls.
  • System Security Liaison and Documentation: Work with System Architects to provide liaison support between the system owner and other IS security personnel, ensuring selected security controls are implemented and operating as intended during all phases of the IS lifecycle. Ensure system security documentation is developed, maintained, reviewed, and updated on a continuous basis.
  • Security Monitoring and Vulnerability Management: Monitor security controls for IS to maintain security Authorization To Operate (ATO) and develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) in response to identified security vulnerabilities.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: The Cybersecurity Manager - Controls Architect is a senior position, supervising and providing direction to junior personnel. Work and collaborate with other Cybersecurity Managers - Controls Architects.
Requirements
  • Experience: 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other IT discipline and 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • Certifications: DoD 8570 IAM level 2 certification.
  • Security Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or other IT discipline.
  • Industry Standard Certifications: Relevant industry standard certifications.
Clearance Requirement
  • Security Clearance: Must have a current/active Top Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
  • Stationary Position: Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Computer Operation: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
  • Physical Activity: The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Office Movement: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
