Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales data and generate sales reports to inform business decisions
  • Utilize EDI and GP systems to manage sales orders and customer relationships
  • Receive, process, and confirm orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Create purchase orders, letters of credit, and sales contracts to facilitate business transactions
  • Document new project inquiries from new and current clients to identify business opportunities
  • Conduct research activities to understand current market needs and trends
  • Make quotations and send them to customers to drive sales growth
  • Contact customers to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor past due accounts to ensure timely payment
  • Perform other sales support functions as necessary to drive business success

Supporting Service Staff:

  • Effectively communicate with customers via phone, fax, and email to provide excellent customer service
  • Handle customer questions, requests, and claims in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide information about sales order status to customers
  • Provide customer quotes and follow up on customer inquiries
  • Report customer concerns and resolve them when possible
  • Troubleshoot problems in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction

Maintaining Information:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales data to inform business decisions
  • Enter sales and profit data per customer/product to track business performance
  • Input new client company information in the database to ensure accurate customer records
  • Create customer contact reports to facilitate communication with customers
  • Document new project inquiries from new and current clients to identify business opportunities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in EDI and GP systems
