Position: Lead Business Analyst with Cybersecurity Expertise
Location: Washington DC
(This is an Onsite Hybrid Role. Candidate Must Work Onsite 2 days a week)
Duration: 12 month minimum, with a strong likelihood of an additional 12 months extension

Important Note: Only candidates with direct Cybersecurity experience will be considered. Cybersecurity certifications are highly advantageous.

Job Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role within the Cybersecurity Cyber Programs division, focusing on the gathering, evaluation, and documentation of business requirements for complex processes that necessitate the design or integration of technical solutions across various business functions. This role may involve serving as a project team member or leading a team. The analyst will prioritize client project needs and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align technological solutions with strategic business objectives. A deep understanding of the business area is essential to effectively communicate how operational technology solutions can be modernized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client requirements and priorities through a structured process of gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes to recommend options, assess risks, and evaluate cost versus benefits.
  • Conduct feasibility analyses and prepare proposals for consideration by relevant users and management.
  • Develop, present, and articulate business cases and requirements for the design and implementation of effective business solutions.
  • Seek technical assistance to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Review testing plans and oversee the testing process to ensure comprehensive evaluation of business outcomes with minimal risk.
  • Assist in vendor selection processes in accordance with IT/DT standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and meet expectations.
  • Support and contribute to the formal reporting of project progress.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent specialized training and experience.
  • At least three years of experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and TEAMS.
  • Skilled in use case development and presentation.
  • Familiarity with TSA Cybersecurity Directives and NIST Guidelines.
  • Experience in technology solution assessments and validation.
  • Ability to lead, design, and facilitate multiple concurrent workshops and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Demonstrated capability to independently manage and/or participate in multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Strong skills in initiating, evaluating, developing, and influencing user adoption of actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging both business users and technical teams.
  • Ability to ensure adherence to guidelines, controls, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Business analysis certification such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
  • Master's degree.
  • Five to seven years of experience collaborating with project managers to plan business analysis and identify risks in a SAFe/Agile environment.
  • Five to seven years of experience working with business users to define clear, meaningful, and measurable business cases, functional requirements, technical requirements, and use cases.
  • Five to seven years of experience partnering with business owners to establish acceptance criteria.
  • Five to seven years of experience collaborating with business owners to ensure that expectations and requirements are effectively met and managed.
  • Prior experience in business and use case analysis related to Operational Technology Cybersecurity Modernization, Zero Trust Architecture, and Active Directory (AD) Enhancement is highly desirable.
