Claims Processing Specialist

Our role in mortgage servicing involves managing loan portfolios for our clients, which include banks and real estate investment firms. We ensure that homeowners' mortgage payments are collected, tax and insurance obligations are met, and we assist homeowners facing financial difficulties to regain their footing.
Position Overview
The Loss Draft Claims Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our loss draft claims department. This position involves training team members, overseeing internal and vendor reporting, and ensuring the timely processing of daily tasks. The Loan Administration Department is committed to maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and investor guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit the daily disbursement batch to the vendor.
- Conduct research tasks and generate exception reports promptly and accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date insurance information in the system through reports and logs.
- Request payoff quotes as necessary.
- Review incoming claim checks as required.
- Complete assigned duties efficiently and with minimal errors.
- Respond to various inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with vendors based on thorough research.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as directed by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in mortgage banking or real estate finance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound decision-making abilities based on departmental and company policies.
Note: This position requires an on-site presence to fulfill essential functions, including oversight, training, collaboration, and productivity.
