Claims Processing Specialist

Position Overview
The Loss Draft Claims Specialist plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our claims processing team. This position involves supporting the daily functions of loss draft claims, contributing to team training, and overseeing both internal and vendor reporting. The specialist will also ensure that all operations comply with relevant regulations and investor guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit daily disbursement batches to vendors.
- Conduct thorough research and generate exception reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records and logs to ensure up-to-date insurance information.
- Request payoff quotes as necessary.
- Evaluate incoming claim checks as required.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly, minimizing errors.
- Respond to various inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with vendors based on research findings.
- Assist with additional duties and special projects as directed by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in mortgage banking or real estate finance.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound decision-making abilities based on company policies and procedures.
Note: This position requires an on-site presence to effectively perform essential functions, including oversight, training, and collaboration.
