Position Overview:

Aerotek is seeking a dedicated ONSITE Claims Intake Specialist to join our team.

Compensation: $21.63 per hour (annualized at $45,000) plus quarterly performance bonuses.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9 AM to 6 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming inquiries related to new and ongoing workers' compensation claims.
  • Initiate new claims and serve as the primary contact between employees and Third-Party Administrators (TPA).
  • Guide injured employees to appropriate treatment facilities and coordinate transportation as necessary.
  • Support the post-accident drug testing process.
  • Assist claims adjusters in the investigation of claims by collecting and relaying necessary information to evaluate liability and the underlying causes of incidents.
  • Input claim information into various claims management systems accurately.
  • Respond to incoming communications from clients, contractors, field representatives, claims adjusters, legal professionals, and medical personnel.
  • Make outbound calls to claimants and relevant parties to follow up on incidents.
  • Review and confirm Injury Reporting forms before submission to ensure all claim information is accurate, seeking additional details when required.
  • Gather and submit essential documentation to the TPA.
  • Assist in the return-to-work initiatives.
  • Distribute acknowledgment letters and post-incident documentation as needed.
  • Make sound and appropriate decisions in various situations.
  • Effectively interpret and communicate policies and procedures, demonstrating proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation for all communications.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Complete clerical tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service is essential.
  • Prior experience in insurance claims or call center operations is preferred.
  • Experience in performing complex clerical tasks with a focus on record keeping is advantageous.
  • Proficient in operating a computer keyboard with accuracy and speed.
  • Familiarity with multiple software applications and platforms is necessary.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in handling challenging situations.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
