POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility is to deliver nutritious meals to clients of Family Community Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Comprehend written instructions for accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Utilize basic arithmetic for daily record-keeping and meal tracking.
  • Ensure precise maintenance of records, including meal orders and weekly deposits.

  • Prepare, portion, and serve meals while adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Follow established safety protocols for food handling, including temperature checks and equipment upkeep.
  • Assemble and package meals for home delivery as per agency guidelines.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment effectively.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Address food-related concerns with discretion and communicate them to supervisors.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Promote Family Community Services positively within the community.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Encourage a collaborative and responsible work atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong reading comprehension abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Prior experience in record-keeping is preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance may be required based on the worksite.

  • Must pass a criminal background check as per agency requirements.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must obtain or be willing to complete Safe Serve Level 2 certification.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in food service is advantageous.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift, bend, twist, and carry food containers (up to 30 lbs). Ability to perform cleaning tasks, including washing dishes and general maintenance.
