Culinary Service Associate

About the Role

The Culinary Service Associate plays a vital role in our food service operations, ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered with care and precision. This position is essential for maintaining the quality and safety of our food services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and assemble meal trays for patients, adhering to specified portion sizes and dietary requirements.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  3. Deliver and organize stock items and patient trays efficiently.
  4. Keep accurate logs and records for food safety compliance.
  5. Utilize kitchen equipment and culinary skills for meal preparation across various service areas.
  6. Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  7. Collect and manage dirty trays according to established schedules.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  9. Report any equipment malfunctions or customer service issues to the supervisor.
  10. Prepare a variety of food items, including meats, seafood, and produce.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  1. Prior experience in food service is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) is advantageous.
  3. Experience in fast-paced cooking environments or hospital food service is a plus.
  4. Strong customer service skills are essential.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Education:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  2. ServSafe certification is preferred.
  3. 0 to 2 years of relevant experience is desirable.
