Position Overview

The Culinary Service Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while performing various tasks related to retail food service. This includes greeting customers, serving food, engaging in suggestive selling, and assisting with the preparation of both hot and cold food items. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the culinary retail area is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Greet and serve customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  2. Handle hot and cold food items with care during preparation and service, ensuring continuous adherence to sanitation practices.
  3. Maintain portion control and merchandising standards throughout service.
  4. Keep the post-checkout area organized and clean.
  5. Thoroughly clean equipment as assigned, ensuring timely completion.
  6. Monitor customer purchasing trends and provide relevant feedback to supervisors regarding product offerings.
  7. Conduct daily inventory checks and requisition necessary supplies to maintain par levels.
  8. Ensure all food and supplies are stored properly, labeled, and dated.
  9. Assist in stocking the retail area and support cooks with display refrigerators and salad bars.
  10. Ensure all display foods are presented attractively according to established standards.
  11. Communicate with cooks promptly when food quantities are low.
  12. Relay customer feedback directly to supervisors.
  13. Adhere to standard operating procedures in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • (E) High school diploma or equivalent
  • (D) 1-2 years of experience in the food service industry
