Position Overview

The Lead Software Applications Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of a wide range of projects and multiple software applications for a prominent global IT solutions provider. This role involves mentoring and guiding junior developers to adhere to best practices in software engineering. The Lead Software Applications Engineer will engage directly with clients to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software that surpasses their expectations.

This role reports to the IT Solutions Manager and is based in a collaborative office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the collection and documentation of end-user requirements and use cases.
  • Designing, developing, and unit testing applications in line with established standards.
  • Refining and optimizing integrations between various applications.
  • Creating web services.
  • Providing mentorship to junior team members.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on coding best practices.
  • Analyzing and resolving technical application challenges.
  • Offering technical support to Business Analysts.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts to address business challenges.
  • Working closely with business users to understand their computing needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in C# development.
  • More than 10 years of experience in SQL development.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Windows development.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with version control concepts.
  • Experience in integrating various systems.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficient in C# .NET, JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, REST, and SQL.
  • Strong mentoring abilities and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with AI-assisted coding is a plus.
Additional Information
  • The estimated annual compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000, dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
