Position Summary:

The Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for the organization. This position involves monitoring daily financial operations, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while maintaining confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy, including:
    • Month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Accounts payable and receivable management
    • Cash flow management
    • General ledger maintenance
    • Financial forecasting
    • Variance analysis of revenues and expenses
    • Processing check runs
  • Handle financial documentation, including invoices and reporting journals, ensuring accurate data entry into company systems.
  • Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organized fiscal records to document all transactions.
  • Provide training to administrative staff on financial processes and best practices.
  • Participate in meetings as a representative of the accounting department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in an accounting role, particularly in a manufacturing environment, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all financial matters.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive attitude that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
