Position Overview:

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will deliver exceptional account management and brokerage services to designated clients, focusing on client retention. Your role will involve cultivating relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while providing expert guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary consultant for clients, collaborating with Producers responsible for client relationship management and new sales initiatives.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of clients' businesses and industries, articulating relevant risks and appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Develop and sustain strong professional relationships with insurance carrier marketing, underwriting, and risk control teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of all services to clients throughout the policy lifecycle, including reports, risk control services, and claims reviews.
  • Ensure timely and professional responses to all client service requests.
  • Conduct reviews with clients, offering coverage and risk management recommendations aimed at minimizing total risk costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products and services.
  • Stay informed about HUB systems, procedures, and insurance regulations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, addressing questions regarding coverages and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing large commercial accounts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Epic and other insurance-related software is advantageous.
  • Possession of a state property and casualty insurance license is required.
  • Completion of an accredited designation program (e.g., CIC, CPCU, AAI) is required.
  • Knowledge of insurance agency operations is essential.
  • Experience influencing decision-makers at the client level is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of handling confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
