Responsibilities:

As the Chief Psychiatric Officer, you will oversee the psychiatric care of our residents. Your role will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for all new residents.
  • Providing therapeutic counseling and psychotherapy to clients experiencing emotional distress.
  • Leading and participating in weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to ensure integrated care for residents.
  • Facilitating training sessions for staff on relevant psychiatric topics.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with families and outpatient providers.
  • Documenting patient interactions and treatment progress in electronic medical records.
  • Managing a caseload in conjunction with the psychiatry team.
  • Participating in administrative duties, including staff scheduling.
  • Providing on-call support as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Medicine (MD).
  • Board Certification in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry.
  • Active medical license in the relevant state.
  • Preferred experience in adolescent psychiatry and residential settings.
  • Leadership experience in a medical director role is advantageous.
