As a Senior Transportation Planner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert planning analysis and guidance across various sectors of the Office of Transportation System Management. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative policies, performance metrics, and strategic investment plans for long-term state highway projects, capital investment initiatives, and related transportation studies.

Your expertise will drive research, analytical efforts, community engagement, and departmental projects aimed at enhancing performance-oriented planning, measurement, investment analysis, and corridor development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of advanced professional experience in transportation planning, demonstrating:

  • Proficiency in applying transportation planning theories and practices.
  • Experience in conducting analyses using spreadsheet, GIS, and database tools.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, or Political Science may substitute for six months of advanced professional experience.
