Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and their families warmly upon arrival.
  • Handle incoming calls, providing information or directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist patients in understanding forms related to admission, including rights and living will information.
  • Ensure all patient documentation is complete, accurate, and properly signed.
  • Collect co-pays and deposits in accordance with established protocols.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when communicating with patients and visitors.
  • Direct any complaints from patients or families to the relevant department for swift resolution.
  • Utilize knowledge of age and developmental stages in interactions with patients and families.
  • Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, particularly those regarding conduct, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance as a fundamental aspect of the role.
  • Identify potential risks to patient safety and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Embody the hospital's mission and values in all interactions and departmental processes.
  • Apply principles of customer service and continuous improvement in daily activities.
  • Safeguard confidentiality regarding patient care and sensitive information.
  • Foster positive working relationships and a cooperative environment.
  • Adhere to guidelines for appropriate conduct as outlined in the HR manual.
  • Communicate with honesty and respect towards colleagues and other departments.
  • Address issues that may hinder effective job performance through proper channels.
  • Comply with national patient safety standards.
  • Follow universal precautions and infection control measures consistently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
  • Show respect for the diverse backgrounds of all patients, families, and coworkers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities.
