POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable individual for this entry-level role, ideally with experience in Aviation or Customer Service, who possesses excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will utilize relevant tools and interpersonal abilities to identify, manage, and resolve daily challenges that the Kalitta Air fleet may face concerning customs, immigration, and military base access.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Submit Electronic Advance Passenger Information System (EAPIS) for international flights to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Customs and Border Protection.
- Review EAPIS submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Handle jumpseat requests and secure necessary approvals from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Maintain the TSA master crew list for the airline.
- Update various vendors regarding changes and information requests.
- Collaborate with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to anticipate and address any potential concerns, including adherence to published regulations and local operating procedures.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following preferred qualifications, although they are not mandatory:
- Background or education in Aviation is preferred.
- A college degree or technical training, or military experience is desirable; relevant work experience in a similar field will also be considered.
- Experience in liaising with government and local officials.
- Ability to maintain and update documentation for record-keeping purposes.
- Strong understanding of U.S. geography is essential.
- Familiarity with worldwide ZULU and local time awareness.
- Ability to interact effectively and assertively with other departments within the Kalitta Air Operations Center.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to speak, read, and write in English during the interview process to ensure effective communication regarding safety, security, and operational control.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
