The University of the District of Columbia seeks a highly skilled IT Pathway Director to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the University's IT Pathway. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Dean of the Workforce Development Division.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, management, and implementation of large-scale IT certification programs and courses.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and marketplace issues, providing accurate information to stakeholders.
- Conduct research to ensure the program meets the needs of students, employers, and partners.
- Manage program scheduling, classroom assignments, and facility utilization.
- Supervise and train pathway staff members, conducting regular performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with the community and employers.
- Identify and spearhead new workforce education initiatives.
- Manage the operational budget for the IT Pathway.
- Prepare and provide information for the annual budget development process.
- Monitor and improve student success and retention operations.
- Ensure compliance with UDC policies and procedures.
- Recruit, evaluate, and select instructors.
- Serve on campus and community committees as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent technical degree.
- Five years of experience in the IT field, including project management, supervision, and/or IT training/education.
- Three years of operational and/or program/project management experience.
- Three years of supervisory experience.
