Job Summary

The District of Columbia Hospital Association seeks a highly skilled and experienced Director of Workforce Development to assist in executing the Association's strategic workforce priorities. This role will manage the work of the DC Health Care Workforce Partnership as a workforce intermediary and develop proactive processes for engaging partners to advance training programs, workforce pipeline creation, and occupational career pathways in health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workforce programming, including supervising coordinators, managers, and interns, and overseeing the development of work plans to execute workforce efforts and grants.
  • Work with outside stakeholders and members to support workforce aims, including relationship development between members, education providers, and workforce agencies.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of workforce grants and activities, and assist with grant-funded project activities, such as tracking and reporting of data related to trainees, apprentices, training, and other deliverables.
  • Lead in all aspects of workforce programs, including the development of applications, management of project deliverables, plans for improvement, final reports, and collection of data.
  • Perform data analytics, including learning and managing various software used by the Association for assigned project data management and reporting, and facilitating successful data collection and reporting to support evaluation of project deliverables and outcomes.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in workforce programs and three years of supervisory experience.
  • Successful experience as a team leader and manager, with excellent communication skills and the ability to position hospitals and medical practices as national leaders.
  • Strong skills in collaboration, leadership, and motivation, with a strong sense of personal and professional integrity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels.
