Role Summary:

We are seeking a Project Lead for the Hacking for Defense (H4D) Program, a nationwide initiative that mobilizes university student teams to tackle pressing national security issues faced by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. In this role, the Project Lead will be pivotal in our consulting operations, independently managing program components to meet client objectives. Responsibilities include strategic collaboration with Program Managers, overseeing customer operations, and managing contract deliverables.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office a few days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with Department of Defense entities utilizing H4D as an innovation resource.
  • Facilitate H4X workshops, ensuring adherence to established methodologies.
    • Serve as the primary liaison for coordinating industry engagements.
    • Lead discussions and meetings with clients as necessary.
    • Complete essential tasks such as report generation and cost analysis.
  • Oversee team workload and delegate tasks to ensure timely project completion.
    • Review team outputs for quality and completeness before submission.
    • Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to team members.
    • Assist in organizing workshops and events.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and business documentation.
  • Ensure the execution of key contract tasks, understanding the program's statement of work and desired outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of BMNT's offerings and methodologies.
    • Communicate how our services meet client needs and suggest improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and maintain expertise in relevant areas.
  • Exemplify the behaviors of a successful contributor at BMNT.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in consulting or project management, or 2+ years as a Senior Program Analyst at BMNT.
  • Familiarity with innovation methodologies such as Lean Startup and Agile is preferred.
  • Expertise in military, government, or emerging technology sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking abilities while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on thoroughness.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a passion for tackling complex challenges.
  • Emotional intelligence and strong listening skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptable and positive, able to navigate uncertainty creatively.
  • Quick learner with a commitment to self-improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying insights effectively.
