We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Leadership Development Specialist to join our team at the National Education Association (NEA). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about promoting public education and advancing the elimination of biases within public schools.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement leadership development programs and strategies to support the NEA's strategic objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends and best practices in leadership development and policy.
- Design and deliver presentations, workshops, and training programs to national leaders and staff, as well as state and local affiliates.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on leadership development issues and serve as a subject matter expert for the NEA.
- Forge productive working relationships with representatives of other organizations and initiate partnerships and collaborations to advance the NEA's agenda.
- Bachelor's degree in Organization Development, Organizational Leadership, Education, Adult Education, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in leadership development, organizational development, and program development, with a focus on designing and leading national and state programs and projects.
- Recognized standing in the field of expertise and extensive experience in developing partnerships and collaborating.
- Excellent public speaking and meeting design skills, including program design and logistics.
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and frequent travel is required.
- TIER 1 (Essential): Demonstrated skill and experience analyzing policy, emerging research, and national trends regarding leadership development.
- TIER 2 (Significant): Ability to establish relationships and act as a liaison to the Board of Directors and Governance Committees.
- TIER 3 (Desirable): Ability to develop and maintain data gathering and leadership development programs.
