Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to enhance our imaging services. Our mission is to redefine radiology, ensuring it plays a pivotal role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As an MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation.

This is a full-time position requiring three 13-hour shifts weekly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conduct patient screenings prior to examinations, verifying precautions and contraindications with two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide clear explanations and prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging.
  • Execute routine and advanced MRI techniques on specified body areas, supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while minimizing the need for repeat scans.
  • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best possible results.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues to promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality after each use.
  • Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assist in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitor inventory of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff by providing resources and technical guidance.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities
