You will play a crucial role in guiding patients through the imaging process, addressing their inquiries, and alleviating any concerns they may have regarding the procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure accuracy.
- Clearly explain MRI procedures to patients, ensuring they are well-prepared and comfortable during the imaging process.
- Perform both routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas, supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
- Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve optimal imaging results.
- Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues to ensure collaborative patient care.
- Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep the work environment organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
- Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
- Regularly inspect and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality after each use.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Assist in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
- Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, requesting replenishments as needed.
- Support the training of new staff members by providing guidance and technical expertise.
(5%) Additional Responsibilities
