Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to enhance our imaging services. We are committed to redefining radiology as a vital component in diagnosis and treatment. As an MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation.

This full-time position involves working three 13-hour shifts each week, ensuring that you provide exceptional patient care and support throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure.
  • Clearly explain MRI procedures to patients, ensuring they are well-prepared and comfortable during the process.
  • Perform both routine and advanced MRI scans on designated body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while minimizing the need for repeat scans.
  • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve optimal imaging results.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for both patients and coworkers.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is clean and functional after each use.
  • Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assist in the upkeep of the imaging protocol manual and manage software updates.
  • Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff members, offering guidance and technical expertise as required.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete other tasks as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the department.
