He/she promotes patient safety, verifies identification prior to exam, verifies patient physician(s), assists Radiologists/Cardiologists in fluoroscopy and sterile procedures, and ensures files are archived to PACS and completed properly in CPSI.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Imaging Exams
- Perform diagnostic imaging exams to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Interventional Procedures
- Assist physicians in interventional procedures to diagnose and treat patients.
- Patient Safety
- Verify patient identification prior to exam.
- Verify patient physician(s).
- File Management
- Ensure files are archived to PACS.
- Ensure files are completed properly in CPSI.
- Education
- Graduate of a two (2) year JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- License/Certifications
- Current registration by A.R.R.T.
- Current license by State of Maine.
- Current BLS Required and ACLS certification preferred.
- CV/CT registered preferred.
- Experience
- One to two (1-2) years' experience as technologist preferred.
