MRI Imaging Specialist

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist. We are committed to transforming the field of radiology, making it an essential component in the diagnostic and treatment process. As an MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety by utilizing two patient identifiers for accuracy.
- Provide clear explanations and prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring they understand the process and positioning required for optimal imaging.
- Execute both routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while minimizing the need for repeat scans.
- Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best possible imaging results.
- Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues, maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Adhere strictly to physicians' directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for both patients and coworkers.
- Keep the ACR toolkit and accreditation standards up to date.
- Regularly inspect and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly after each use.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Assist in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
- Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Support the training of new staff members, offering guidance and technical expertise as required.
(5%) Additional Responsibilities
Complete other assigned tasks as necessary to support the department's operations.
